Welcome to the 21st Century Community Learning Centers!

General Information

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Grant Program is a proud part of the Saint Paul Public School's Community Education Department. Funding is provided by the Federal government through the No Child Left Behind Act and is administered by the Minnesota Department of Education.

Our nine school sites offer a variety of academic and enrichment programs that support students' needs during out-of-school time, both academically and socially. In conjunction with numerous community agencies, the 21st CCLC school sites provide students and their families with the opportunity to access activities that include

  • Career exploration
  • Field trips
  • Math, language arts, and science education activities
  • Mentoring
  • Special event nights
  • Sports and recreation
  • Technology
  • Tutoring and homework help
  • Visual arts
  • Vocal and instrumental music

Activities are provided in a safe and enriching environment by staff members who care deeply about helping students reach their personal goals.

Soaring Beyond Expectations

  • Teachers report that students who participated in 21st CCLC after school programs on a regular basis showed an improvement in coming to school ready to learn during the 2008-2009 school year.
  • All of our programs are open for 8 – 10 hours per week during the school year.
