Monroe Community School Monroe offers before and afterschool programming, along with summer programming. We are very excited to be working with our primary partner, West 7th Community Center, as well as Athletes Committed to Educating Students (ACES) and Area Learning Centers (ALC) in providing services and opportunities for our students.
Monroe’s before school program, Early Start, runs five days a week, 7:30am-8:40am, starting in October and ending in May. This program offers academic assistance, homework help, computer time, and arts and crafts classes. Early Start is open to all students, kindergarten through 8th grade. Our afterschool opportunities during the school year take place ![]() Monroe's new Dance Dance Revolution system is used during the 21st CCLC program to provide students with an opportunity for engaging exercise. Students learn leadership skills during team-building activities offered through the 21st CCLC program.
In addition to the school year program, Monroe and the West 7th Community Center also offer 24 days of summer programming from 12:30pm to 4:30pm, five days a week. This program offers sports clinics in soccer and basketball, art, music, technology classes, clinics in leadership and goal setting, and a variety of fun field trips.
