 | | Art class allows students to collaborate and be creative. | Hello! I'm Penny Vang and I'm the 21st CCLC Site Coordinator at John A. Johnson. The John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary School Extended Learning Program began its seventh year of service to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, this fall.
In partnership with the East YMCA and the 21st CCLC, the John A. Johnson Achievement Plus Elementary School Extended Learning Program offers qualifying students the opportunity to participate in a free, academically focused after-school program. The Extended Learning Program provides students with additional academic and/or enrichment opportunities directly linked to the school day. The Extended Learning Program serves approximately 100-120 students Monday through Thursday from 2:40pm 5:00pm.
Children are invited to enroll in this program based on their academic performance. Students currently below grade level on state standardized tests and those recommended by teachers are encouraged to attend.
